Braford

The Braford is the result of crosses started in the 60s, making a synthetic bovine which brings together in one animal, important characteristic of Hereford and Zebu. It was recognized by Ministry of Agriculture of Brazil, in 1993.

The main features are: the zebu inherited adaptation to the tropics, ectoparasite resistance, hardiness, carcass and fertility. From Hereford, brings fertility, maternal ability, early maturity, docility, volume and quality of meat. This whole feature selection is enhanced by the clear benefit of heterosis, which qualifies the product much better.

Physically well conformed, good muscle profile, high profit of edible cuts and, the most important, has fat cover that ensures the good preservation of the characteristics of flavor and juiciness, while they are frozen in refrigerated warehouses.
