Gyrolando

The first news about these animals' outbrake, "Gyrolando breed", broke out in the 40's. At that time, Brazilian farmers were keen on getting a good productivity in the dairy farming sector. Thereafter, they began practicing the crossing between Gyr and Holstein. The intention was as follows: the two breeds should complete each other in hardiness and productivity.

Gyrolando females, producers of milk for excellence, have perfect physiological and morphological characteristics for production, a very satisfactory performance in an economical way.

Longevity, fertility and precocity are very evident in Gyrolando, virtues that result a great lifetime production and a numerous offspring, which normally starts at 30 months of age (1st baby), the peak milk production reaches up to ten years old, and produces up to 15 years old, satisfactorily.
