EXPORT OPERATIONS
The owners of AGRO BETEL have several farms where animals are produced with the highest genetic quality, with the tradition and experience of more than 80 years. AGRO BETEL also has a large group of partners, agricultural producers and cattle raisers with high technical level who also supplies animals for export. The export process starts with the selection of animals on these farms when they are examined and inspected by qualified experts, in order to meet the buyer’s required standards.
Once approved, the animals are sent to quarantine. AGRO BETEL’s quarantine center, called “Centro Quarentenário Campo Belo”; one of the only private centers accredited by the Ministry of Agriculture of Brazil outside the FMD endemic area, and able to quarantine animals for export to the whole world. Other quarantine locations are available abroad where the company has operations.
The animals boarding is released only after a complete sanitary control, and strict official quarantine approval. The quarantine is supervised by an official veterinary from the Ministry of Agriculture of Brazil and may be accompanied by personnel appointed by the buyer. For shipping we provide the required legal documentation, customs clearance and export permit. Quarantined animals receive adequate food to suit the type of trip to be used (land, air or sea) and are accompanied by a trained team until shipment.
The transport involves very special care, be it air, sea or land. In the case of sea travel, the animals are released to travel only after a thorough survey on the ship’s housing conditions for the animals. For AGRO BETEL, the animal's welfare is a prerequisite for a high quality final product.
